Welcome Autumn - Project 52

I've been casually eyeing up the pattern to knit these leaves for a while now, and I finally had a reason! They were actually pretty simple. The pattern can be found in the book '75 Birds and Butterflies to Knit & Crochet' by Lesley Stanfield if anyone is interested in having a go themselves.

The best bit about autumn for me is looking at (and photographing) all the gorgeous leaves and colours, but I had to give nature a hand because the trees aren't all that pretty round my way just yet!

My Panda Heart- A Weekend Outfit

One of my first ever knitted creations had to be shown off even though it was a sunny day. I'm really quite proud of it as you might be able to tell!

Jumper: Select
Scarf: Knitted by me, adapted using a pattern for a single heart shape
Ring: Topshop

One Sentence Journal

Knitting in the round on 4 double pointed needles might look bonkers but I think I'm slowly getting the hang of it.

Love is in the Air Week - Day 7

I started with wool and I'm ending with wool! I knitted this heart as part of a little project, to be revealed soon! I love this Blackout B&W effect on Camera Bag2 - it makes for a really strong image.

Love is in the Air Week! Day 1

Lately I've been lacking inspiration and oomph in some of my photos. The best advice I found to conquer these slumps is to work to a theme, and what else could I choose at this time of year than love. So for this week, there will be a lot of soppy, cute and sickly images for you to ooohh and aahhh at.

Day 1 of Love Week represents my new love - knitting!

OSJ

Unpicked nearly a whole armwarmer this evening because I had made so many mistakes with the knitting, even though I completely understand the pattern.

My right middle finger is getting a little sore from my knitting attempts, so I trawled the net and found Finger Gloves which protect your fingers from the sharp needles, only to then not be able to find them in the UK - how annoying.

I'm still fighting with my knitting, but I think the wool is winning.

Trying to learn knitting from a book is really tricky, although that could just be me.
