MCP Project 52 - Updates to follow!

I've been such a bad blogger lately - I haven't posted the last 10 weeks (yes, I said 10 weeks!!) of my MCP Project 52! I've had so much fun with this project and it has helped me enormously to learn more about my cameras, to be creative with my photography and to grow in confidence generally. I've even had 3 of my photos featured on the MCP blog!

I will start posting the photos I haven't shared with you very soon!

Sixty-four Colors - Raw Sienna

The colour of my favourite drink and my gorgeous new notebook:

And the case to my mum's old Brownie camera, and her Kodak Colorsnap:

Sixty-four Colors - Yellow Orange

I thought this colour would be tricky, as it's not a colour I'd often choose, but I went off searching round my house for yellow orange things and this is what I found:

Nelly the elephant was staring me in the face when I went down into the cellar (don't worry, its a cellar made into a room - no soft toys are living in unsuitable environments in my house!). We had tea together in the garden. I am perfectly sane (honest).

And here is the final shot I chose:

Staying on the toy theme, I also found a few other things that fit the colour scheme:

But this was the other one I eventually chose:

Raining Umbrellas - Serendipity, Fashion and Originality

In the first week of the Raining Umbrellas e-course I'm taking we were given 3 separate word prompts to draw, paint or photograph our own interpretations of - serendipity, fashion and originality. Since photography seems to have taken over my creatiev world the last few weeks, I wanted to find some great images to illustrate these words, but ended up just finding 1 photo that showed all 3!

It represents serendipity because it was a weird response by my camera that caused a very overexposed image to begin with, that ended up looking quite arty - sheer fluke! Fashion is obviously covered because of my top and parasol, and originality because of the effect used and the parasol!

Sixty-four Colors - Cadet Blue

This week's crayon colour for the Sixty-four color challenge was Cadet Blue.

This is a grey-blue colour so I immediately thought of photographing my eyes! I made the rest of the photo black and white for added effect.

Both my scarf and top are the perfect colour for this weeks crayon!

You might be able to tell that I've been playing about with digital manipulation lately - bit scared to alter the images this much usually, but it's fun and strangely liberating!

Sixty-four Colors - Spring Green

This week, for the Sixty-four color challenge, the crayon colour chosen was Spring Green, so I headed out to the garden in search of greenery. The magic of spring is starting to happen now, so it didn't take too long to find these snaps:
